Jazz Music in Cartoons

The Golden Age of Jazz and the Golden Age of Animation share a crossroads in American history: studios employed jazz musicians and pieces, and composers utilized jazz language in their soundtracks. In this program, The Queen’s Cartoonists feature composers such as Raymond Scott, John Kirby, Carl Stalling, and Duke Ellington: four composers whose work have inspired (or have been directly used) in animated films.
